We started BrightSteps with a simple belief: that young children do their best growing in a place that feels like home — calm, familiar and full of warmth — while still being guided by thoughtful, professional early learning.

That's why we keep our numbers small. In our home-based setting, every child is genuinely known, every day follows a gentle Montessori rhythm, and families get the personal attention that larger centres simply can't offer.

Elaha Badri

Lead Early Childhood Educator

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

Elaha is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over a decade of experience in childcare and early learning. She studied Early Childhood Education at George Brown College and completed advanced training in Children Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson).

Elaha spent six years as an Area Director with Kids & Company, where she oversaw multiple childcare centres across the GTA, ensuring the highest standards of safety, care and early learning. Today, she also teaches future educators as a Professor and Placement Coordinator in Early Childhood Education.

With her deep knowledge of child development and passion for Montessori-inspired learning, Elaha is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Fouzia Badri

Early Childhood Educator

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

Fouzia Badri is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over a decade of experience supporting children and families. She completed her Early Childhood Education at Seneca College and has worked with the Afghan Women's Organization since 2015, where she serves as Lead Child Minder.

In her role, she not only provides nurturing care and high-quality early learning experiences for young children, but also takes on key administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth operation and strong family support.

Passionate about creating a safe and inclusive environment, she brings warmth, professionalism and dedication to every child in her care — helping them grow with confidence and curiosity.
